The County Emergency Management is a multi-functional agency whose primary duty is to prepare, respond and recover from several types of natural, man-made and technological disasters that may occur in Choctaw County. These disasters include severe weather emergencies such as large thunderstorms, tornadoes, floods, large fires and hazardous materials incidents.
The Choctaw County Emergency Management Agency app is available to local residents and includes benefits such as keeping the public prepared for emergency situations and keeping the community safe before, during, and after an event. Some of the custom app features include tips on being prepared, Social Media Integration, and the ability to notify the EMA of damage reports.
